Swiby Privacy Policy
Swiby is made by Gereon Studios ApS. We only store the information the app needs to work. We show no ads, we don’t track you across other apps and websites, and we never sell your information.

What we collect
You don’t create a profile with a name, email or password. When you first open Swiby, your phone gets an anonymous account that the app uses to save your choices.

The anonymous user ID is linked to your use of the app, so we treat it as personal information. We never receive your payment details. Payment is handled by Apple.
What your partner can see
When you connect with your partner, they can see the names you both said yes to, your shared ranking and the names you suggest, marked as your suggestions. They cannot see the names you said no to.
Legal basis
We process this information to provide the app to you (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR).
Who we share with
- Supabase hosts our database. Data is stored in the EU (Ireland).
- Apple handles purchases, payments and cancellations.
- RevenueCat helps us confirm purchases and subscription status. It receives your anonymous user ID and purchase details, not your name or payment details. Transfers to the US rely on the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses.
We use no third-party advertising or analytics tools.
How long we keep data
We keep your information while you use Swiby. You can delete your account at any time in the app: open the Us tab and tap Delete my account and data. This immediately deletes your anonymous account, your swipes, your suggestions and your shared matches. If you disconnect from your partner, your shared matches and your suggestions are removed from your partner’s app. If you write to us instead, we delete your data within 30 days.
Your rights
You can ask to access, correct, delete or receive a copy of your information, and object to its use. You can delete your data yourself in the app, or email simon@gereonstudios.com with your invite code so we can find your data. If you are in the EU, you can complain to the Danish Data Protection Agency (datatilsynet.dk) or your local authority. If you are in California, you have similar rights under the CCPA, and we do not sell or share personal information.
Children
Swiby is made for adults expecting a child and is not directed at children.
Changes
If we change this policy in a material way, we will say so in the app and update the date at the top.
